Lee Jesionowski, chief architect for IBM tape automation, loads the IBM System Storage TS3500 Tape Library, announced today with a new shuttle connection feature, pictured on the top of the system. The TS3500 is the first tape library system to provide over 2.7 exabytes of automated, low cost storage — enough to store nearly 3 times all the mobile data generated in the U.S. in 2010.
